I've been doing quite a bit of art journaling lately, it's nice for letting out pent up creative energy before bed. For times when emotions are too heavy for sleep, or you're just stir crazy and can't focus on strictly words or art.
This is my favorite, the photo's not very good (apologies) but it's lyrics from Romeo and Juliet by The Killers. It says:
I can't do the talk, like the talk on the TV, and I can't do a love song like the way it's meant to be. I can't do everything, but I'll do anything for you. I can't do anything except be in love with you. All I do is miss you, and the way we used to be. And all I do is keep the beat and the band company. And all I do is kiss you, through the bars of a rhyme, Juliet I'll do the stars with you anytime. Juliet, when we made love you used to cry, I said I'll love you like the stars above, I'll love you till I die.
If you've never heard that song you should certainly look it up, it's beautiful. Hope you're all well, thank you for the wonderful comments. Oh, and happy Mother's Day, enjoy all the strawberries and planting! :)
Love, Clara

O_O We have those same mugs! The white one with the blue pattern. That made me do a double take, I was so confused for a second there. Too funny!
Anyway, I love your art journal! It's absolutely beautiful and looks so inspiring. I'm not sure I've ever seen anything like it before. How was I not aware of this concept?
Your book is beautiful- I love the way you wrote over the print, it creates such a pretty effect. And of course I'm obsessed with the pictures you chose...
That song though, Romeo & Juliet is by the Dire Straits. I've never heard The Killers' version- I'll have to look it up!
Mackensie: oh thankyou! you're so sweet :) and your right it really is perfect for getting those juices flowing.
Melee: Woah! cool, i love finding vintage item twins. and thank you, I'm not sure how you missed it, haha, it's pretty great though, lots of fun and lots of inspiration out there too.
Erica Pru: oh really?! hmm, i had no idea, i'll have to check that out. but yes do look up the Killer's version, i don't know how the Dire Straits version sounds, but I love the way it's been done by the Killers. thank you! <3

Clara, your journal is beautiful! I love the photo of the Beaudelaires in the corner - so odd but so perfect ;) I'm afraid my letter was sent back to me, I've re-posted it today so it'll be another week or so. I'm really sorry!
Happy May,
Katherine

Ignore my WordPress site, by the way; I had been experimenting and WP is such a pain, so I am back on Blogger, so to speak.
