my cave

I figured it was about time I showed you my new room. When I moved back home at the end of January I got to upgrade to a larger room (my parents old room, there was a lot of switching around), for the most part size was the only upgrade that took place... it's very dark so I'm not sure I can ever promise good pictures of most of it.
It's taken some time, but I'm actually getting attached to it. I still miss my old room a lot, but my little gypsy cave has become a nice little sanctuary over this time. I've hung stars above my bed, as I hope you can tell from the photo above. They're glittering for me quite beautifully right now, I think they like the dim light, it lets them shine better.

And I've got my snowflakes above my dresser as well. (sorry for the mess, I have cleaned it since these photos. mostly.) It's a basement bedroom (yes. I live in my parents basement... bring on the bad jokes. *eye roll*) which takes a lot of adjusting from the amazing south-facing window I had a year ago, but I think I'll do fine, having stocked up on my vitamin D as much as possible at the greenhouse.

Also, the last couple of times I've been thrifting I've been able to stock up on fabric! The prices are so much better than anywhere else, one piece cost me two dollars and the rest were only a dollar each, that's the way to sew if you ask me. That's all for now, hope you are having a lovely September, I'll show you what mine is looking like outside here real soon.

Love to you all!

Clara!I'm sorry I haven't left you any words for some time, but I have been reading (even at the farm!), and I managed to remember your birthday this year! (Have you received my package yet?)I'd like to let you know, if you're interested, that my new blog is all done and set and my first post is up :) If you have the time for it, of course.
Love always!

your room seems so cozy! I would love to live in a basement, it just seems so isolated and magical in a way... like there's a whole other world under your house! hehe :D

Oh, I love your cave; it's truly beauteous! I would like to live in the basement... but we don't have one. (If I can't have a tower, I figure going underground seems like a great Plan B!)
That fabric is lovely! And the fact you got a good deal just makes them all the more wonderful, doesn't it? ;)

Izzie: Thank you :D

Katherine: Yes! I got your package and I finally mailed your letter a bit over a week ago, I think you should be getting it soon, the book is wonderful, thank you so much! and I'll certainally check out your blog, I'm so excited you're back!

ajk: thank you! and your welcome :)

Mackensie: oh thanks, yes that is a nice way to look at it, and you're right it is quite cozy.

Melee: thanks! I supose a basement would be the next best thing to a tower (there are so few of those to be found here) and a good deal makes anything better.

Hello, Clara! I have been following your blog for quite some time, but I'm terrible at commenting. Your little cave is absolutely beautiful. I'm always looking for inspiring ways to decorate my bedroom, and your stars are such a lovely idea. Have a wonderful Autumn, bird.

You're letter was indeed received the day after I had written that comment, and a reply duly sent off :)
Golden days,
Katherine♥
