alaska

maggie and milly and molly and may
went down to the beach (to play one day)
and maggie discovered a shell that sang
so sweetly she couldn't remember her troubles,andmilly befriended a stranded star
whose rays five languid fingers were;
and molly was chased by a horrible thing
which raced sideways while blowing bubbles:and
may came home with a smooth round stone
as small as a world and as large as alone.
For whatever we lost(like a you or a me)

it's always ourselves we find in the sea

I love e. e. cummings poems! He's deliciously unconventional.

My little brother told me the other day that Alaska was "a frozen wasteland". *rolls eyes* What does he know? He's obviously never seen pictures. :P

I couldn't have said it better myself! {regarding little brothers}
And I shall have to try reading e. e. cummings's poems aloud! They can be rather choppy when you read them the way they're written. :)

p.s. I would love to be penpals!
But, I have wary, protective parents and I don't think they'd let me... it's complicated... But anyhow, I would love to email with you, if that's alright?
